For High School Students: State Outreach Ambassadors
We're building a network of high school students across the country who help people in their own towns find good information about arthritis treatment. Ambassadors bring our materials to local groups, help with outreach, and help keep our location directory up to date.

Community Outreach
Reach out to libraries, senior centers, YMCAs, community centers, and arthritis groups in your state.
Educational Materials
Ask local groups if they'll post or hand out our educational flyer and other patient resources.
Local Awareness
Share our posts on your school, neighborhood, and community social media pages.
Community Partnerships
Stay in touch with the groups that agree to help, so they keep sharing our resources over time.
Location Directory
Look for low-dose radiation therapy (LDRT) programs we haven't listed yet, check existing listings, and send us additions or corrections.
Community Events
Help out at local health fairs and community events when they come up.
Questions About the Ambassador Program
Who can apply?
Any high school student in the US who's interested in community service, healthcare, education, or public health. Students from every state are welcome.
Do I need medical experience?
No. Ambassadors use the materials and outreach templates we provide. They don't give medical advice or recommend treatment to anyone.
How much time is required?
There's no set schedule. Pick the activities that work for you and do them when you have time.
Can more than one student serve in the same state?
Yes. We expect most states to have several ambassadors. You can work on your own or team up with other students nearby.
Can the hours count toward a school service requirement?
Often, yes. Ambassador work is community service with a registered nonprofit. Every school has its own rules, so check with yours before you start. We can give you a letter or activity record confirming the hours and work you've done.

If you're a parent, a retiree, a nurse, or just someone who cares about this getting in front of more patients, there's a role here too.
Local Outreach
Share our site and location directory where you already spend time: a Nextdoor post, a local Facebook group, a senior center bulletin board, or a note to your own doctor's office.
Hospital Research
Help us track down LDRT programs that aren't in our directory yet, especially in states where we have few or no listings. Good fit if you don't mind some digging and a few phone calls.
Community Events
Represent Radiant Joint Alliance at health fairs, senior center visits, or community events in your area. Hand out flyers, answer basic questions, point people to the site.
Become a Medical Advisor
We welcome physicians who care for patients with arthritis, including radiation oncologists, rheumatologists, and orthopedic surgeons, to join us as medical advisors. Advisors review the site for accuracy. The time commitment is modest. If you are interested, please email us at [email protected].
